On June 1, 1980, over one hundred celebrants formed the Prescott Valley United Methodist Church that first met in the Prescott Valley Community Center on Spouse Drive, currently the home of CASA and continued to meet there over the next three years.

On October 3, 1982, ground was broken at the corner of Sommer and Zircon in Prescott Valley to erect a multi-use building that would serve the community’s needs as both a meeting place and sanctuary. Both buildings were dedicated on June 1, 1986.

Ten years later, an ever-present dream that had started with the Fellowship Hall complex – that of a separate sanctuary and education building – became a reality with a groundbreaking on November 17, 1996. The
consecration of the new worship center was held on August 24, 1997. The beautiful sanctuary is complete with
colorful stained-glass windows, comfortable seating, an organ and a piano.

During 2012, the Prescott Valley United Methodist Church is celebrating its 32nd year of service and ministry to the Prescott Valley community. Our church had its beginnings in 1978 as a Bible Study Class that was formed by several members of the Prescott United Methodist Church who lived in the fast-growing community of Prescott Valley.

Our church bell rings crisply every Sunday morning as a herald of our 10:30 am Worship Service and includes a wonderful choir. A fellowship time follows each service. We offer a Sunday School for the youngsters and a nursery for the little ones. Both the Methodist Women and the United Methodist Men have active meetings each month along with many groups both community and church oriented.
